Our introductory 10 Weeks German Longsword Course covers all basic principles of fencing, major techniques and strategies. It allows to put the training into context and gives the overview of the full system so it can be studied individually.

Courses will take place 8-10PM on Mondays @ Mahon Community Centre (Mahon, Cork) & Thursdays @ Croom Sports Complex (Croom, Limerick) and Sundays @ Little Island Sports Complex (Little Island, Cork)
All equipment (fencing masks and synthetic simulators) will be provided, please bring towel and plenty of water!
This HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) Course sets up a framework for a system of medieval combat known as Kunst des Fechtens (KdF, Art of Fencing) widely taught in Northern Europe during the Late Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Modern periods and is commonly referred as Liechtenauer / German Tradition.
